Chestnuts by the pool on November 11th

On November 11th, it has become a tradition in our Home to celebrate Saint Martin’s Day and Autumn with all our guests..

The story of Saint Martin talks about a Knight – Martin – who, on a very cold day, shared his warm cloak with a poor beggar; because of his generous gesture, it is said that Martino received the grace of having sunny days until he didn’t get a new cloak. This legend explains the so-called “Saint Martin’s Summer”, a short period at the beginning of November of unexpected hot and sunny days.

Locally, Saint Martin is a particularly beloved saint; to celebrate with our guests, we like to share together freshly made hot chestnuts to eat by the pool during the evening….we wait for you on Saturday 11 Novembre 2017!
